Government Relations

Megan Alderton joined the InterMountain team in April 2003 and brings several years writing, research and communications experience to the company’s strategic communications and government relations teams.  Megan has managed project teams and monitored complex land use issues for such clients as the Snowmass Village Mall Owners Cooperative and Marathon Oil Company, and currently represents Rosevine Enterprises/American Winemaking Supplies and Giftware as the company’s North American regulatory counsel. In addition, Megan monitors legislation and regulatory activities, provides research for the government relations team and assists in facilitation, logistical planning and recording of community meetings.

Megan has completed training in the Technology of Participation® and is recognized by the Institute of Cultural Affairs as a meeting facilitator. In addition, she offers a breadth of practice in organizing logistics for community and otherwise large meetings. Recently, Megan has organized focus groups and annual summits for clients such as Stellar Vision, and has handled logistical planning requirements for community meetings for clients such as the Lowry Landfill Superfund Site and Marathon Oil Company. 

Prior to joining Intermountain, Megan served as associate editor on international technical publications, including RF Design, Mobile Radio Technology, and Site Management and Technology Magazines. In addition, Megan was a founder of IWCE Live, the first-ever live Web reporting site from the annual International Wireless Communications Exposition in Las Vegas. Most recently, Megan served as communications liaison for Endur, Inc., a start-up company devoted to data center design and security.

Megan is a volunteer mentor with the Daniel’s Fund College Prep Program and Goodwill Youth Services’ School-to-Work program.  She is a graduate of Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism.
